Ludwigshafen, first mentioned in 1145 as “Sernatingen”, was bought from Überlingen for 95 marks in 1294. Sernatingen became royal Württemberg in 1808. But only two years later, Baden received Nellenburg back in the Treaty of Paris and thus Sernatingen, the Nellenburg seaport, was also Baden again.
Without doubt, the source of the Danube in the Princely Palace Park is the destination for visitors from near and far. There are other highlights to discover, such as the Princely Fürstenberg Palace or the city centre with its colourful Art Nouveau buildings. A visit to the many museums and the Fürstenberg brewery is also recommended.

Vineyards, orchards and lots of greenery surround and run through the picturesque village. More than forty winegrowing families and five Lake Constance fishermen show that tradition and enjoyment are loved and lived in Hagnau.
From up here you not only have a unique view over the Salem valley, Lake Constance and the following Alpine chain, but also the possibility to move in healthy air.
The lakeside facilities with their 3 harbours and around 300 boat moorings form an important part of our leisure offer. The active club life enables a varied leisure time.
All children up to 6 years of age have free admission to the lake’s outdoor pool. For families there is the family day ticket. A large playground with lots of wooden playground equipment awaits the children directly at the natural lake. On 15.000m² sunbathing area you will find your place for a relaxing day at the Illmensee.
The community developed into a popular holiday resort in the post-war years. Klaus was the winner of several national and international flower decoration and environmental competitions.
Kressbronn is particularly attractive due to its scenic location. Numerous picturesque districts, situated between orchards and vineyards, surround the rural main town. Cycle and hiking paths lead to idyllic lakes and rivers, up gentle hills with unique vantage points and of course along Lake Constance.
Lochau has attractive housing estates and an excellent infrastructure. Jobs in industry, trade, commerce and agriculture and an intact local supply of goods and services are part of the economic picture. Committed citizens in associations, parish, school, economy and politics contribute in all areas of community life to the much-cited “Lochau quality of life and living”.
Meersburg, the museum city, invites you to the Middle Ages and Droste, the Baroque and in painting collections. You can explore the history of the town and viticulture, experience bible themes and aviation history. And in the vineyard you can visit the Droste once again.
The idyllic wine village invites you to enjoy swimming in the heated lido, hiking and cycling on kilometre-long paths, tennis, mini golf and much more. Nonnenhorn is an ideal starting point for interesting destinations in the region, such as the Pfaender, the island of Mainau, the Säntis etc. Seven innkeepers will spoil you here with their specialities and the matching lake wines such as “Sonnenbichl” and “Seehalde” flatter the palate and soul. The traditional “Rädlewirtschaften” and a multitude of festivals, concerts and events throughout the year ensure sociability.
The Biber flows through the village, which flows into the Upper Rhine below Stein am Rhein. In addition to the village, Ramsen consists of the hamlets of Bibermühle, Hofenacker, Moscow, Wiesholz and Wilen. Ramsen has an active club life, which is reflected in many events and festivities throughout the year.
One of the most important features of the village is its proximity to the border with Germany and the associated customs location.
Visitors to the holiday town of Überlingen are greeted by a breathtaking variety of flowering parks and enchanted gardens. Only a few steps away from the lively city centre, you will find a green oasis of tranquillity in the Stadtgarten with its large outdoor cactus plantation, the fantastic fuchsia meadow and the elegant rose garden.
The historic old town, which is under monument and ensemble protection, invites you to explore. With interesting buildings, a multitude of funny fountains, a museum landscape that is second to none and a wide range of events, Wangen inspires its visitors and guests.
At the same time, the pier from which passenger ships sail to Lindau, Bregenz (A), Constance and Rorschach (CH) is also located here, as well as the fishing port and the pleasure boat harbour. From Wasserburg you have a unique view of the mountains of Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Austria.
From the basilica on the Martinsberg to the historic city centre and the Rössler Weiher, the Guelph city has so much to offer for culture and nature enthusiasts.
